OK I wanted to try th muscle milk because I have heard great things about it so I bought the ready made drinks one was cookie and cream and the other mocha java or something like that. I got in the car and look at the ingredients I almost fell over!! It had 330 calories 16g of fat and 14g of carbs. I tried one drink and it hurt my belly I don't know if it was the high fat or the caffeine in it? That was the first time I have had caffeine since before surgery. I gave it to my mom and she loved it!!! I also tried the cookies and cream and same thing one drink and it hurt my belly so I gave it to my mom and she loved it as well. So anyone else have that experience? The fuzzy navel I have has no fat or carbs do most protein drinks have high fat/carb ? OK just needing input!

I would not recommend muscle milk for the exact facts you described......LOTS of calories and fat. There are lots of other good choices out there. Allie

thanks allie I have to agree. I went to gnc to get melatonin and forgot my shake at home so I thought I would try it but man when I saw the calories and fat I realized I will stick with the ones I got.

You might want to try Muscle Milk Light. Each serving has 25g of protein. It only has 195 calories, 6g of fat, and 11g of carbs. Definitely opt for their Light version. So far ive only tried their chocolate milk flavor and i think it tastes great compared to other protein drinks! I dont know if they have it in their ready to drink cans but it takes no time to throw 2 scoops of the powder and 10oz. of water in a shaker cup. I have a shaker cup that holds the powder in the bottom of the cup in a seperate compartment so you can have it ready to go when you want it. I found this special cup at a grocery store of all places! (Albertsons) Also, not sure about the regular muscle milk, but the Light version has 0 zero lactose. Perhaps that is what made you sick?

Sharon Thanks for the reply. I have 2 shaker cups and i normally use syntax nectar the powder it only has 90 calories no fat or carbs and has 23 g of protein. I just wanted to try that in case I am out. I went shopping and forgot my drink at home. the bottle said no lactose on it so It might just be too sweet for me. I didn't see a light version but I didn't know their was protein out there that high in fast so I wasn't looking. I will for now on lol Dee

I had a ready made muscle milk drink for the first time today. It was the low carb version so it has less sugars and carbs. I had root beer float. It was pretty good,,,,a smooth texture. It has 220 calories for an 11 oz. shake, I drank half of it and will finish the other half later. 21 grams of protein. shar

Muscle milk does the same thing to me. I tried their oatmeal and got even worse reactions!
