Just wanted to introduce myself

Hello everybody, I just discovered this April 07 board yesterday, so I wanted to say hello. I had my surgery on April 2nd, I was supposed to have a lap sleeve gastrectomy but due to my strange anatomy the surgeon had to give me an open RNY instead, you can look at my profile for more on that. I've come to terms with this especially since I've recovered nicely, no complications, I'm losing a little slower than most, but I have no regrets. Oh, I'm an expat living in France, lived in UT for years before that. I am due for my first blood work Monday, July 2nd, standard of care in France is that an endocrinologist orders the tests and it costs me nothing. No complaints from me! I've also seen my surgeon twice since surgery, he's very happy with my progress, although he's not set goal or strict rules for me like most American surgeons tend to do. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to all of you fellow April surgeries! Annie

welcome to the the A team and we do weigh ins on sunday .. if u like .. I am in slow losers club I am a lap bander even tho most people here r RNY.. I can say we have wonderful people here who r behind us .. I have had a few set backs with my lap band .. however I think I am moving forward now.. Welcome!! I have seen you on the RNY board. Just curious what took you over to France? I am hoping to move overseas for a couple of years myself (maybe starting next year?). You'll like the April board. It is nice to have people that are at the same point dealing with the same issues.

Welcome to the "a" team! This is the best bunch of people. I spend more time on this forum than any of the others because we are going through the same things at the same time. Best of luck to you.
