Well I do have infection of the soft tissues ..surrounding the port and they r hitting the infection with 2 very powerful antibiotics and it will be a wait and see mode for now Not out of the woods yet but for now I am keeping my port.I guess this is good news for now. Another good news I lost 3 lbs according to his scales and I was able to squeeze my butt into a 16/18 shorts when I started this WLS journey I was wearing a size 24 pants so goes to show u can lose inches w/o losing a whole lot of weight I can't wait to see if u really can see the difference in my pics.. THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!! Lisa

You must be so relieved to keep your port. Yay! I hope the infection gets better, and quick. Congrats on the 3 lbs.

I love hearing the good news, Lisa!! Let's here it for the antibiotics and tell that port to stay put!! See, it's funny, I've lost 52 lbs and still can wear my 26 jeans (ok, well, the ones that were tight) and you're wearing 16/18's from a 24!! On top I'm down from 26/28 to 18/20, but my big beeehind is gonna take much longer. Now let's see some pictures!! Inky

Thanks everyone ... I know I can be such a whiner.. and frustrated at the same time .. I do not have much of a support system at home .. I get the well u r not a RNY so don't expect to lose much .. grant u yes but were talking scales were not moving .. LOL I told my doc 9 lbs in 9 weeks post surgery is nothing to brag about and he said as long as it 1/2 lb a week or more I am happy.. he asked me r u eating less than a year ago and I said yes then the surgery was sucessfull .. he said cardio every day .. It comes off slow for alot of lap banders .. but we will catch up to the RNY people .. he said this is your tool .. to teach u to eat smaller portions .. he said the RNY are fast losers but they get to the point they may streach out the pouch and the weight creeps back because they will no longer fill restriction if they do not learn how to control portions that is what they will battle and he said for u I am gonna fill your port to stop u eating so much .. he said stand next to RNY and a lap bander in 2 years u both will be at same point .. in weight loss I will always fill my restriction RNY may or may not lose that feeling so that is where malabortion is gonna be their saving grace .. but what boils down 2 we all are here for each other We r A team losers...no matter what surgery we had ...

Thanks for the update, Lisa. I'm sorry you have an infection-hopefully the antibiotics will take care of it! And despite that complication, the tool is working so well for you-look at you in size 16, girl!
