I've had ENOUGH!!
Allie.... I know what you are going through. I had lap band... but I had to have my gallbladder removed in '99. I have had a lot of surgeries, but that was by far the most painful. You do stay nauseated and in such pain. It took me a good 3 weeks before I was feeling better. I have had to have my ovary removed, 3 exploritory lap surgeries and a few others, but the gallbladder was horrible. And to top it all off.... after that surgery...every time I ate I was sick feeling....AND had to run to the bathroom about 5 minutes after starting a meal. It lasted until I had my lap band. Now, it is totally opposite and I have a hard time going to the bathroom. I spent all those years with liquid (sorry to be so graphic) and now it's a little solid and it kills me.
It does get better. The pain will last for a few weeks. Just know that it's normal. I wish there was something else I could say to help you, but it is a bad surgery, and unless you absolutely can't hold anything down, it will probably get better in a few weeks. Keep your head up. Just think...there WILL come a time when you will feel great and be thinner with NO pain
