Surgery 4/16: per-op high was 240, day of surgery was 232, am currently 186. That's 54 pounds, or 54% of what I want to lose (100 punds - makes the math easier!). Sounds like we're all more or less at about the same point. Looking good, everybody! Marcia

I know someone mentioned that we shouldnt compare, but i cant help but feel like im doing something wrong! Im in my 10th week. Im 5'2'' and I weighed 214 at surgery. I weigh 172 now. Ive only lost 42lbs. Why is mine coming off so slow?? Im happy for any weight loss at all, but it still boggles my mind and i cant help but want to try and figure out what im doing wrong. My surgeon has never mentioned protein, only that i should eat that first on my plate and i thought maybe that was the problem so i recently started drinking muscle milk light. I've also been exercising ...i dont know what else to do.

I had surgery 4/16/07 also. As of Monday I'd lost 50 lbs - 28.57% of excess weight gone (thanks for that calculation, btw). More importantly I've gone from a size 6X to a six 3X in tops and I'm down one size in pants. It seems like the scale is just creeping along now though and I can't help to get impatient. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm just 2 1/2 months out and this weight loss won't happen overnight.

I think the lighter you are the slower it comes off...
