Congrats! Thats great!! I had RNY on 4/2 and have lost 72lbs I am 5'9 and 29 y/o (two things to consider in relation to the amount lost). ** I hope that we don't use this thread to compare ourselves, because that only leads to unnecessary disappointment ** More importantly, I have lost 39% of my excess weight. If you are going to compare use that metric, its more fair. High weight - goal weight = excess weight Pounds lost/excess weight x 100 = % of excess weight lost. Everyone here is doing great!!!

Oh no, no no!! You are doing so much better than you think..... I went back to the weekly weigh in info to get your highest weight. Highest weight (357) - Goal weight (185) = Excess weight (172) Pounds lost (61) / Excess weight (172) = 0.3547 x 100 = 35.47% You have lost 35.47% of your excess weight. The surgeon typically wants to see you lose 30% of your excess weight by 3 months. If you use your DOS weight, you are at 30.8% - still ahead of schedule. GREAT JOB!!!!

I had RNY Apr 17/07, SW was 256 CW 204, so that's down 52 pounds. Pretty close to you. I am 5'4.5" and am 48.5 years old, turning 49 in Oct. Also have hypothryoidism, which can play a part in weight loss. I know when I was diagnosed with it I put on about 30 pounds. Jody
