Anyone else eat almost a whole sandwich and I didn't feel stuffed or sick? I'm about 10 weeks out.

I have a hard time with bread, I tried a few bites of a sub from Subway, I took off the top of the bread, but still had a hard time. did you toast the bread? what kind of sandwich? i eat tuna with multi-grain crackers and lunch meat. Is bread in your menu from your nut.? It feels like a rock in my pouch to me. It will be interesting to see if others can eat it. lol jen

Depends on the size of the sandwich and what is on it. I can eat about 3/4 of a small sandwich with just ham or turkey on it but anything bigger and it's not possible. I usually eat Sara Lee's Whole Grain White bread and find that those slices are a bit bigger and harder to eat much more than half but I bought some wonder light and those are smaller slices and would make it easier.

Hi there I ate almost a whole sandwich which was whole wheat toasted with 2 pieces of bacon nitrate free and a slice of 2% cheese and fat free miracle whip. My surgeon said bread was ok. I asked at my 1 month check up because i was craving a sandwich. I can't tolerate soft bread at all it make me sick but Every so often I can do toast. I have had toast maybe 4 times . Oh I also wasn't sick full I was satisfied!!

I have been allowed to eat bread since I was 4 weeks post-op as long as its toasted. I had a BLT on toast. It was sooo yummy! But, couldn't believe I ate almost the whole thing. My nut said I can eat anything as tolerated in moderation. Tracy

Wow! I'm not allowed to eat bread of any kind until six months out. I did try a couple of bites of toast and my pouch did not like it!

My pouch does not like bread or toasted bread, I keep trying, but so far I can't. But I can eat crackers. Sherri

I can only have a bite or two of bread. Any more than that, and I end up throwing up. It sits like a giant dough ball in my pouch. As a matter of fact, for breakfast today I put ham and egg on half of a toasted whole wheat english muffin, and it was a disaster!

Im 10 weeks out and i have no trouble eating 1/2 roast beef and provolone sandwich. For some odd reason bread does NOT bother me one bit. I havent tried a heavy bread like you would get at subway, but regular sandwich style white bread has no effect on me or my pouch. ...sometimes i wonder if i had surgery. It scares me to see some of the posts on this site seeing how many of you cant eat pizza, bread, ...ect. ...how come im able to?? weird. I have lost 42lbs so far, so i guess as long as im losing i shouldnt complain. I should be happy that i can eat some of these things, right??

wow I had surgery a little after you the 20th and I can only eat like 3 to 4 bites at a time and no where near anytime I have had a drink of anything. I had a lot of complications and a few extra surgeries so this may be why I cant eat much I'm not sure but I wish I could just eat a half of a sandwhich. sometimes even those few bites are too much and I get sick. I've lost 60 lbs so far. you look so thin already in your pic. I ate pizza once it was ok the next time was not so ok, so I stay away. I eat tuna melts about 3 bites. Thats about all the protein I can get in w/o getting sick. I'm bad at the protein, getting in my water, and my vitamins. I guess all I went through just made it all worse for me. I wanted to be one of the ones who had no probs with nothing like all the 30 people I know who had it. Good luck!
