Carbs Bad!
Ok, I went a little crazy on the carbs today. Had a new meal for breakfast - Old Bob's Red Mill high fiber (30g of fiber in a 4oz serving!) I guess I didn't consider that it had alot of whole grains in it to get all that insoluble fiber! I got nearly 100 carbs today! YIKES - need to stay under 100 to keep myself in ketosis. It doesn't help that I had rice in that burrito bowl (4oz serving) and snacked on a few pita chips instead of edamame beans.
I'll be getting off the carbs this weekend for sure! Suprized me though - didn't expect the cereal to have 30g of carbs!
I confess, I've had a couple of days a while back where those nasty carbs got the best of me. Funny thing is they seemed to go down so easy and we're very agreeable with my grouchy pouch. You know that sorta scares me that some of the healthier choices like fish & chicken feel heavy in my pouch and rice, tortilla chips, etc... go down smooth and don't upset my pouch.
However, I do believe I've really turned the corner this last week. Everything seems to be going down smoothly now... even really moist chicken in small bites seems to be agreeing with my pouch! So, I'm a happy camper now!
