Bad Week....

Well as I previously posted, I went back to work this week. I had to learn a brand new operating system (in 2 hours) and then was given 6 new claims that day! (enough for 1 day, but ALOT when still learning what the heck I was doing on the system.) Since I've been back, I've noticed a significant drop in my ability to get in all my protein (maybe 40-50/day when I'd like to get 60-70) & fluids (maybe 30 oz total!) during the day. It makes me feel tired, sluggish, icky & I swear I'm only peeing like 3 times a day. (TMI sorry) I know this is bad & I've recognized this, so I'm going to do my best to change this in the upcoming week. I did do one good thing this week for myself though. I signed up for a personal training! So that's a plus right?

I am sorry that things are so hard right now....but it will get easier....but 2 good things are that you are aware of it and that you joined a personal trainer......You go girl.....keep up the great work......

I know the feeling. I'm having a very hard time eating and drinking enough now that I'm back to work. I can almost drink enough, but only get one 20 minute break to eat, no matter how long my shift is. so I have to try to get in as much as I can before or after, but I'm getting better at that.

You aren't alone, it was really tough to get everything in once I went back to work May 28th. Some days are just better than others and I refuse to beat myself up over it. I keep track on sparkpeople.com and just do the best I can. Just make sure you take your vitamins and meds, that part should not be negotiable. It will all even out once you get back in the groove at work, it took me 3 weeks to get back to my pre-surgery production rate (I am a transcriber) and get my schedule in order. Be kind to yourself and cut yourself some slack right now, it's a lot of changes all at once. Inky p.s. Congrats on the personal trainer!! I can't wait to do that when the budget permits again in July.

I know how you feel, I went back to work 1 week after surgery and water and protein has been a battle for me, on the weekend I can get it all in with no problem. It is hard to sip, sip, sip, at work because you dont' think about it like you did when you were home. It does get better but it will take some planning on your part. Roz
