Strange Question

While responding to someone's post in the RNY forum it occured to me that I have not belched since before my surgery. I'm not concerned by it but it struck me as odd. Have any of you burped since surgery?

I have a few times, and now they are dainty little lady-like burps, rather than those magnificent huge belches pre-surgery, lol. Just not much room for air in there nowadays, but I am sure eventually you will burp again. I wish I could burp on command, because sometimes it would help with the pouch, but unfortunately I never had that talent. Inky

For the longest time after surgery I didn't burp, I would hiccup instead. Empty stomach, full stomach, didn't matter. Even when I tried to intentionally burp, I would hiccup. It got so annoying. But finally I am able to burp. Still not when I want to, but I can now. That's an interesting question I'm sure your surgeon could answer if you ask Anna

Me either....I know it is weird.....hey maybe our bodies are saying,,,,ladies don't do that.....lol.....naaaaa....but I do wonder why......maybe it has something to do with the new size.......thanks for asking.....

I burp almost constantly now. especially at night. but then I hardly did preop. don't know, maybe I'm a freak
