Female question??

Has anyone had their monthly since surgery? I started mine 2 weeks ago, and it is still as strong as day one?? I don't know if I should call my dr or if this is normal?? lol jen

I have had two since surgery, I was very regular before and I guess things don't change. Roz

hi jen, wait, am i getting this correctly - you've been having your period for two weeks? if so, please call your doctor, probably not your surgeon though. As mine said when I told him in the hospital that I started my period, "la la la i don't want to hear about that, i don't work on that, la la la!" LOL, what a jokester! But really, if it's been going on for two weeks, and it's strong, call your doc. your hormones are probably in a tizzy!! I've had mine once since surgery and it was just as before surgery, except the timing of the month has changed since it showed up the Saturday after surgery - hello injury, meet insult Inky

Yeah, your correct 2 weeks of a very strong period, probably TMI. I have a call into my PCP, so hopefully they will call me back soon. I hope the end comes soon, because this sucks lol jen

I have had 2 and they were 21 days apart.....I think that our bodies are trying to clean house since we don't need as much now.......I have been told that it gets better....so hang in there....

I'm like Roz-very regular before and still regular. Just lucky, I guess.

I hope you get some help from your Dr. This situation can cause a lot of problems, namely anemia or low iron from so much loss. Since we are not getting in normal amounts right now, I hope they can fix it. Best of Luck, I would probably be down and out in bed by now if I were you!

I spoke to my Dr. she said it's from losing so fast that as each fat cell emptys it releases hormones, and not to worry about it for another WEEK, I don't know if I can take another week, I guess I'll live this just really sucks. lol jen
