Just an update for all of you!
Hi all
,
I am sorry I have not updated you in a while. Things have been really busy lately and I really have not had much time on the computer. I am doing much better from when I last posted about things getting "stuck" in my throat and having episodes of the foamies and throwing up. Turns out it was what I had suspected(eating TOO fast!). I did tell my surgeon about the episodes, but since it has been only on occasion that this happens, he told me that it was most likely eating too fast and to eat slower. He did tell me to call him immediately if it becomes more frequent or bothersome though(in which I would do anyways). I had my 6 week check up last week and am pleased to report that I am down about 35 lbs since my surgery!! WHOO HOOO!!!! I am also starting to get into SMALLER clothes too! Other than that, I have been doing well and am getting most of my fluids in now and protein intake is better. I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing and will continue to post updates on here on occasion.

Glad to hear it was nothing serious that required more surgery. I have the same problem as you with eating too fast or taking too big of bites. It's all a learning process and it takes time to get use to. But I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon. Pain is a great reminder to eat slower and take smaller bites! Good luck to you and way to go on the 35-lb. weight loss!!!
Cheers!
Hi Clayton!
I am so glad to hear you are doing much better. I think eating too fast is also my biggest problem and I admit, I don't eat at the dinner table all that often and that is going to be a habit I must get into (as I sit here at my laptop eating breakfast!)
Keep up the good work and enjoy those smaller clothes!!
