Late night hunger?

Ok, here's the deal. I got home at around 6:30pm and had dinner (4oz of Tilapia). I was stuffed. Low and behold around midnight, before going to bed, I note the usual feelings that I need to eat (hard to explain). I have one mozzerella stick (1oz) and part of the other (usual snack), then I'm stuffed again...... Odd, haven't felt hungry at night since surgery. Oh well, not too concerned, I got 100g+ of protein today and only took in 850 calories. I was just hoping not to feel the hunger anymore.

Hi Jeffrey! I get the late night hungries too, but I think mine are head hunger because I never feel hungry otherwise. And sadly, the "not hungry" feeling does eventually go away, it's just part of the honeymoon. Inky

I wouldn't worry you guys. We are taking in small quantities and they get digested more quickly than the large meals that we used to eat. You really should only go max of 5 hours without eating to keep your metabolism going strong. The longest period I go without eating is overnight when I sleep and I think its because of going 8 hours without food that I am nauseous in the morning. Don't worry about it. Choose good healthy snacks with some nutritional value and you'll be doing more good than harm.

Thanks folks! Ironically I woke up stepped on the scale and noticed another pound has snuck away as I slept! I still can't understand how it does that - I can weigh myself before bed and be one weight, then 6-8 hours later wake up and I've lost 1-2 pounds. Go figure!

I get that way too. I usually eat some string cheese or some SF pudding or maybe some cottage cheese, cuz it is a long time till morning. Thought I was the only one doing that.
