Holy cow no wonder I was not losing !!!!!

LIsa, I'm glad you are finally feeling restriction. You should be getting in 8-9 servings of protein a day...that means a min of 60g. So shoot hard for that. 80g would be a better number. Make sure to eat protein first, then veggies, then carbs if you have room. eat slow and chew well. Sticking sucks! There are also great protein shots that pack 47g of protein in each. They taste good and will help when you can't get any more solid down. Your fill does seem high, but not completely uncommon especially for one done under fluro. First, you said you didn't want a ton of fills because of the cost. Well now that isn't an issue. Second, your doc could see your stoma so he can view how much restriction you have or dont have. When my doc does mine, he jsut has to guess until I come back for another fill. We don't do it under fluro. I'm sure if you doc didn't, you wouldn't have gotten as much. Take it slow and enjoy the new restriction.

my head is just playing games right now it wants to EAT!!!!! My stomach is saying ru kidding???????? I had heart burn last nite and i think i had 30 oz of fluid all day LOL. I am forcing my self to drink .. kinda wondering if I am to tight but I will wait a few days to see if swelling goes down from the huge fill.. meanwhile I feel like I did when I just had surgery just i feel better and am very hungry LOL I guess I had a reason to feel like I was getting any where .. I had no restriction going on how can u lose when u have huge opening.. man when I saw how fast that barium went into my tummy and out to intestine .. the doc said u need restriction .. he stopped me lol.. he said there we stopped the leak LOL he was to funny .. be well Lisa

Lisa, I am excited to hear about the fill. I am thinking there may still be hope for me. I have about decided that they forgot to put the band on during surgery. So there for, when I had my fill, the saline just went into my abdominal cavitity!!! I do think I will call my doctor tomorrow and request another fill. It has been 3 weeks since my last, (which was also my first ) and as of this moring I have gained 2 lbs~

It is very very easy to miss a port.. they have a size of a dime for pin point accuracy and they use a 3 1/2 needle that is a 20 gauge.I can see how they can miss a port or not shove it in all the way in.. I am so glad they did it under flouroscopy .. it took me alot of saline to fill me up if i did it my docs way I would be going in 3 to 4 times for a fill to get to my sweet spot.. I would call.. gaining after a fill is not a good sign u r not at your sweet spot and also if u can wolf down food very easy another sign u need another fill.. they could have missed yoor port of u had a leak .. good reason to call.. my gf had a fill and they missed the port and she ended up gaining 10 lbs back before she called the doc now she is very tight and has lost 30 more lbs. she wished she had called earlier.. be well Lisa

My first fill was under flouroscopy also, but when I got home is when I swelled. Just want you to keep in mind that if it doesn't get better in a few days you might need to call your doctor. You can read all about my first fill on my profile.

That fill was two weeks ago...and I still have a little bit of issues with certain things, but the swelling lasted for about 3 days. You are on my friends list now so you can see my profile.
