Holy cow no wonder I was not losing !!!!!

Today my First fill was done under flourascopy and they found out the following 1. My port is tilted makes it hard to fill but still can be done 2 When I had the contrast to see how much restriction if any to the shock of the doctor I had none u could have shoved a roast down my stomach and nothing would have stopped it LOL 3. My fill was 3.5cc in 4cc maxiumn fill line.. (I already had is the smallest lap band installed ... doctor was not kidding it was lose LOL I am really feeling for the first time what all of u guys r feeling OMG !!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooooooooo restricted I think today is my first day of weight loss.. I have been trying to drink protien for last hour and I have only taken 4 oz in a hour ... I felt like I just ate the whole thansgiving dinner .. right now.. how stuffed i feel .... So now I am really gonna be feeling what all of u have been feeling and doing... the last month or two.. The burping is so bad.. omg in my head I so want to eat ack !!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going threw this again .. I feel like ground hog day movie LOL I guess the honeymoon is over How much protien do i gotta get down me again ??????? yet alone water ????? LOL So while all of u are wolfing down your mushies just rmemeber poor me who was complaing she has not lost much weight is now feeling restriction.. Go gentle on me will ya ok ok i could not eat humble pie if i wanted 2 I know I know I asked for it .. but damn 3.5 cc was a huge fill compared to others fill were not even close.. Careful what u ask for is the moral of the story here LOL be well Lisa

Lisa, i was so glad to see this post!! I just read the one you posted on saturday and was going to reply but then i saw this one! I am so glad that you had your fill. I know your miserable now, but i also know that you will be losing weight like crazy soon. your whole mood changed and you seem so much happier even though your in pain! Wow Lisa, no wonder! It's amazing how you didn't gain more weight during this time, so that's a success right there! I'm so glad the band is now going to work for you. Woo hoo!

I shocked everyone that I needed so much to fill my band ....3.5 is alot for most people most get 1.0 cc if they r lucky to even get that much for the first fill and u r right I didn't gain alot of weight I was hungry ... and unrestricted good thing I had a good meal last friday ... LOL .. but i want to eat but can't.. lol

Lisa, I am glad that you finally got your fill. I was in the same boat...but had to go back and have some of it removed because it was filled too much. Now, I am good. Glad to hear that you are too!!! It makes a WORLD of difference. Good luck!!!

How much did the fill u????? then remove? why did u think it was to tight? I feel like I need to burp .. but can't.What is so hard is I was so use to eating anything and all of a sudden i cannot eat anything .. what a switch ... My head is thinking food while my stomach is thinking no way ,, LOL Driving me nuts ,,,, and my blood sugar is soooooooooooooooooooo low i have the shakes now .. guess i should try some juice be well Lisa

I was filled to 1.5cc and started when I got home. Then I couldn't hold anything down, not even water. I ended up going to a local emergency room because I was in so much pain. It was worse than childbirth. I was in so much pain that I was shaking. They gave me pain meds there and my surgeon called the next morning wanting me to go back in and have it under the X-Ray again. I had swelled so much he ended up taking 1 cc out. So, now I only have .5 cc. But, I do that too. I burp all of the time, especially after I eat. But, it may be a little too tight if you are constantly burping because I did that (and had an interview before I could get it fixed). I also felt WAY more restricted. Basically, if it hurts, then it is probably too tight. Not to mention that you had a HUGE fill. I felt 100% better after having it reduced, but then was a little scared to eat after that because of what I went through the night before. I stayed on liquids for a week after. Did they say that now that the port location is known, your next fill will be easier? My friend had her first fill today and you're right, it was about 1 cc, so you really did have a huge fill.
