Is anyone else having a hard time sleeping and if yes, what are you taking to help you get to sleep?

What a good question ! Because I can't sleep for nothing, then when it's time for me to be up getting ready for work... i'm so exhausted ! I will probably be bashed for this but I really enjoyed my pain meds (Lortab Elixir), I took every drop of it. Only at night and only once a day until it was gone. It helped me sleep ! I miss it so much... I wish there was a way to get more of it. SO I would be interested in finding something to help me sleep too ! and I wish I knew why? Never had this problem before surgery. ~~Rona

gnc melatonin sublingual cheery. 1 mg pills they work and they are even safe for children. My son and daughter and husband take them. I also know many older women who do as well.

I have a hard time falling asleep too, and i talked to a friend who had WLS and she said her dr told her that she would fall asleep so easily before because she had sleep apnea. People with sleep apnea fall asleep within 10 mins of lying down, so now that she has lost weight the sleep apnea went away and so it will take a while for her to fall asleep. One thing that she tried and now I do is read for a while after lying down, it relaxes the mind enough for me to fall asleep. I hope you sleep better soon!! Michelle

Me too! I get up at 5:30 am and walk a mile. Then wor****il 4 pm and come home and do the usual stuff, dinner dishes, etc. Around 9:30 I am exhausted and want to sleep, most nights I toss and turn until after 11:30. But...on the weekends I get up at 8:30 or later and usually take a nap in the afternoonthen go to bed at 10 and sleep all night. What is up with that? I do not want to take anything because the whole object of the surgery was to get well, get off medication. HELP!
