smothie question
Okay my surgeons program requires us not to snack. I am having a lot of trouble getting the protein shakes in right now. I tried one of the recipeis that one of the lovely ladies here posted. However my smoothie turned out so thick. Here is what i used
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 cup milk
a whole bag of frozen strawberries
1/6th cup splenda
3 scoops of unflavored protein (so that i can get in all 60 grams of protein)
I ended up with like a blender full of smoothie, that is so thick I will never get it all down in three days let alone one. Plus I have to count the smoothie as a meal i do believe. Can someone help me figure out a better way to make the smoothie. I hate to throw what I have out..but I'm thinking I probaly will.
jeez! you do not need to get in 60 grams of protein in one meal. here's mine:
1/2 cup yogurt (any light kind)
5-6 frozen strawberries
3/4 cup FF milk
1 scoop of protein
splenda/equal to taste for yourself
It's not that thick and it still tastes great. I sometimes use the same as above, but instead of strawberries, I use vanilla or banana flavored yogurt, and use sugar-free caramel or vanilla torani syrup (like they have at starbucks) for the sweetness and flavor.
