forgot something
It depends on what it is. If it's pretty soft, like cottage cheese or SF pudding, I can eat about 4 oz or so. If it's something like chicken, only about 2 oz. If I eat fast, I burp for hours, and have thrown up once, I've learned my lesson on that, but it is hard to make 2 oz of something stretch out for 1/2 hour, when I'm used to gulping my food down in 10 min when I'm on my break at work.
I had surgery the 25th of April, and I can eat a bout a tablespoon more than a 1/4 cup of cottage cheese, but any heavy food (meat/cheese/etc) I'm lucky if I get an ounce or a few bites.
I have definitely found that if I eat to fast (last night, tuna sashimi and squid salad gave me some serious foamies!!) I will get sick. I have to put the fork or chopsticks down between bites and concentrate on timing so I'm not eating in five minutes. Definitely small bites and lots of chewing as well make things go down easier.
We'll get the hang of it!!
