Nikki We had surgery on the same day. I am so sorry that you are going through this rough spot. Its not fair that some of us get to bounce right back while the rest of us have to suffer a bit longer. I can tell you that my first two and a half weeks were hell. I had severe pain a lot. I didnt have to have my incisions reopened though, and I know that must be painfull and a bigger pain in the butt! What if you try this, just focus on drinking your water, and maybe getting some unflavored Unjury or protien that you can mix in with it. Of course if you can tolerate some sort of flavored water (crystal light, or even sugar free kool aid) it would make it smoother. Then once you start drinking your protein and your fluid intake is up maybe you'll feel better. You dont have to win this race in a month. Go back to tiny bites of soft food. Try again. You had this surgery to get life back...dont let it steal life from you. I will keep you in my prayers. Much love your way Amanda

Nikki, I would do what my pcp says, that is just my opinion. Maybe you should call your pcp and tell them what your pressure has been running. Why did they have to open and clean your incision was it infected? I bet that was not fun. Hope things get better. Roz

I forgot to mention the heart pill thing. I can only imagine the dilema you feel. I honestly dont know what to do about that situation. I would say confront both of them with the other ones veiws. Is there no way that the two can talk on a phone? What is up with that. I really feel for you Nikki~ Amanda

I know some might say to do what your PCP says but not all PCP's work with gastric bypass patients much and understand the changes in the body. You might want to consult your PCP again about what the surgeon said and the reason why. Especially if you are light headed a lot. When it comes to how my body is reacting due to the surgery, i consult my surgeon first.
