I dont know what to do

Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and support. I know that what I must do is take care of the kidney problem. I am not drinking any protein shakes or protein bars. I am just going to eat small meals until I see what the kidney dr says. I dont know what I would do without all of you

Hi Cindy, I'm certainly here for you. I had begun to spill proteins as well immediately after surgery. They put me on a Blood pressure medication called Lisinopril to protect my kidneys. The best thing I can say is it won't matter how much weight you lose if you aren't here to enjoy it. See the Kidney doc and as if there is any med that will help. I don't know how the lisinopril is doing I've only been on it a couple of weeks. Hope this helps and anything I can do let me know.

I don't know anything about kidney problems. But I am sorry that you are not feeling well and hope that you start feeling better!!

Well I would stay at the low end of your recommended protein intake and don't use any protein supplements. Just get all your protein from your food. And just sip on water all day and keep it on the low end of your recommended fluid intake. Although this is definitely something to ask your surgeon about, maybe this will help in the meantime. WOW Cindy.....I am sorry to hear you are going through this. Know that we are all hear for you if you need someone to talk to. I am a little worried myself cause I have not had any blood work done since I left the hospotal and don't see my surgeon again till the end of June. I only go to bathroom about 3 times a day myself. You take care of yourself and keep us posted.
