First fill questions

I have my first fill on Monday the 21st, and I am more nervous about that then I was the surgery iteself. I believe that it is because I don't know what to expect. Am I going to feel uncomfortable after it's filled? Will there be more pressure? Hopefully I won't be able to eat as much (even though my stomach sounds like an erupting volcano because I am so hungary all the time). I just don't know what to expect. Any info? ~Tiffany~ :fairy:

I have the same question ,, Will i beable to eat what I am now?????? Just not as much.. I feel like I am on a honeymoon phase right now.. I feel and able to eat anything right now but will this change i aftter the fill what i want to know ? I feel no restriction .. I am hungry .. all the time .. Be well Lisa

Tiffany...You might want to post this question on the "Lap Band " forum....As much as I enjoy reading the "April" forum questions and answers alot of the posters had RNY and I have found that the LB forum is more directed to our surgery. Just a thought. Good luck to you....Marcy (PS...I am 4 weeks post op and am lucky to not have the "hunger" pains that so many go through. I am still on "pureed" foods and do not start "mushies" until the 1st of June...I can't wait to try some chewing).

I am wondering the same thing. My first fill will be on Thursday May 24th. I am a little nervous but not too bad. I have heard people say it's nothing and I have heard people say they were sore,swollen, and bruised. I really think it would be fine. Hopefully you will get reply's and it will help us to know more of what to expect. M.Y.

Hello Everyone....I too have the same curiosity....I have my first fill on Thursday the 24th....I do not have restriction....and have gained about 3 to 4 pounds....a lil' scary for me.....I am down27 since my 4/1/6 banding. Please continue to share eachothers' experiences. Looking forward to the fill and of course...all of your replies. Thanks....Eric *S*

I am right there with you guys. had lap band on 4-5-07 and lost 17 lbs. Nothing since. had my first saline fill last Thursday 5-17 and I only notice a tiny bit of restriction. The fill was piece of cake!!!! No pain or discomfort at all!! I am getting nervous that this isn't going to work.!
