No Energy
I am having a bad problem with no energy. The doctor put me on 29mg iron three times a day, but that caused me such severe constipation that I'm down to once 29mg tablet a day, but really, even on 3 a day I didn't have any more energy. I think my body is spending it all on healing, or at least I hope so.
Fortunately I have not had to return to work, or I'd be laying my head down on my computer.
If I find out anything from my PCP (who I see next week), I will post.

Are you guys taking B-12 and prenatal vitamins? They are really, really important for energy level. My doc prescribed a chewable prenatal (Nutrinate chewable tablets) and had me buy B-12 (1000 mcg). B-12 must be taken sub-lingual (dissolve under tongue), or monthly injection, or nose spray, it should not be chewed. I started out on flintstone chewables for the first four weeks. The vitamins must be a big help because my energy is good. Don't get me wrong, I still get tired, but it isn't as bad as what you all are describing. Hope it helps. Good luck!
Oh how I can relate! I am soooo darn tired all the time it's hard to plan to do anything for the day cause I know I will be sooo sleepy and will need a nap. Today I woke up at 7:30AM.... then layed back down for a nap at about 11:00AM... slept off & on till 3pm. Got up and forced myself to drop my daughter off at her friends house. Sat down around 8PM to watch tv and fell asleep... just woke up at 10:30PM and it's now 11:30PM and I"m ready to go back to bed for the night. That is sad. I want my energy back!!!! With all this sleeping I can't get all my liquids in....ugh, it's a vicious cycle!
Yes i also get tired sometimes but very rare as most of my day i plan out with exercise and daily tasks. I take multi vitamens, calcium, b-12 complex daily as my doc says it is important for my energy level and health. I go back to work on monday so my 2 weeks are up and I am ready to do so hope everyone feels better soon might look into the b-12 complex as you need it with complex not just b-12 hope that helps
I know what you mean, the first 10-11 days were pretty much sip, walk, nap, sip, walk nap.... Since about Monday, I've been feeling less inclined to recline (pun). I'm taking optisource bariatric chewables (4 per day) Citrical Creamy bites (2 per day) and B12 every other day (1000mcg) sublingually.
I've been getting the protein in as well - my dietician told me to aim for 70-90g of protein now. She also said to try to get as much protein as possible from the 3 small (3oz) meals - yea right. The most I've been able to get without being allowed meats yet has been around 10g of protein from hard boiled eggs.
Hope you all pick up some energy soon - maybe you need to be out in the sun - photosynthesis anyone?
