Out of the hospital
Hi all,
I am finally out of the hospital after an extra day due to one of my laproscopic incisions bleeding the two times I tried to get up after surgery, and then being put on bed rest until the next morning. I am a bit anemic now and must take extra iron.
Aside from that, and the surprising and 10 day early onset of my period, things are okay. There is much less pain than I imagined, and I am gassy. I think today if I were not having menstrual cramps, I would be feeling much better.
It is nice to be in the hotel, and know that I can sleep through the night. Getting rest is impossible in the hospital, although the last day/night I had no roommate and that was nice indeed.
I am having a delightful cup of strained veggie soup and will follow up with a popsicle. I find if I walk directly after eating, all goes down much better and there is less gas pain.
I do my post op on Tuesday morning and get the staples out, which will be terrific.
Talk to you soon,
Inky
Hi Inky,
I definetly feel your pain. I am one wek post op. Today I am feel pretty good. The first few days were rough due to nausea and vomiting from the anesthesia, lactose intolerance and my period coming early. I read that having any type of abdominal surgery will bring on your menstral cycle. The next couple of days will get better. I have had no problems with my incisions, but the hole where my drain tube was keeps leaking and messing up my clothes. I guess if that is the worst of it I should be grateful. Well I hope the next ocuple of days go without a hitch. I pray for you speedy recovery!!!!!
