If the Dr says don't do it then don't do it!!!!

Yesterday I was feeling pretty good...6 days Post Op and feeling like Wonder Woman. So I thought that I could lift a bag of dog food from the shelf into the cart and then into my car after I made the purchase.....just to let you know that this was not some little itty bitty bag either....we have a 116 pound chocolate lab so the bag was BIG!!. Anyway, I thought that I would be ok.....that was an understatement. I felt something pull on my left side and knew that I had made a stupid mistake. All last night I was in pain and then again today. About 1:00 this afternoon I layed down for two hours before the kids came home. I feel better now but I was scared cause I could have done some serious damage to my incision or insides. (and hopefully I didn't do any damage) So.....If your doctor tells you not to do something regardless of what it is...don't do it!!! Have a wonderful day!!! Marcy

Be careful. ya knucklehead. You just had major surgery. I, too, want to get out and get busy. But, we have to remember, "baby steps". We were just re-born after all. DD
