Bloody stools...(tmi)

I *finally* had a bowel movement and it was a little rough and there was a lot of bright red blood. I am thinking hemoroid. I called the surgeon and they said come in tomorrow and get checked. Since they said tomorrow... I'm guessing it's nothing serious. Anyone else have any blood in their stools at all? I have had this problem before during my pregnancies so I'm not panicked. The nurse said if I have pain, light headedness or vomiting to go to the ER. Right now I feel fine. So anyone else have any hemoroid or blood in stool issues?

HI Amber, I just had surgery Mon 4/23 & wish I could have a bowel movement. Visiting nurse says I have lots of gas in my stomach. Sometimes I feel like I have to go, then its just a fart..lol..But at least the gas is escaping. I go to the doctor tomorrow to get my pain pump out. Hopefully, that will help. He prescribed milk of magnesia, but all I felt was grumbling in my stomach. I have also had hemmoroids too. How can we poop when all we are on is liquids ? Hope you get past this problem too. Does sound like they aren't that concerned. I am walking all the time, but then I had lap-band. Feel better standing up. Pam-busdriver

It sounds like a hemoroid or a minor fissure. You can take something to soften your stools and that will help a lot! Yesterday was my first bm since the procedure. It had some solidity to it but most of it was runny.
