Did anyone have their hitial hernia repaired?

I am wondering how common is it to have a hatial hernia repaired with the wls?

I have a hernia near my c section and my doctor couldn't fix it because he was in an unsteril environment and there is a chance for medical liability? something to that fact but he did tell me because he found it that when I go to have the tummy tuck it would be covered because they will fix the hernia at the same time! I don't know about the hiatal hernia?

Yes, I had my lap band on Jan 5th or so and I had the same hernia. I had some extra swelling from it which caused some pain when breathing. But was fine after several weeks. The Dr did not charge us for the procedure, or he forgot about it. Took a while longer. Troy

I did had it ,and I did't even know about it ,did not have any symptoms before but he fix it at the surgery
