Back and just a little sore...
Everything went well on Friday. I had a noon surgery and was discharged at 4:30pm. I'm a little sore but the pain meds are helping keep the edge off. NO nausia at all. I think the actual worst part is the roaming gas that keeps coming to the sernum or the shoulder blades.
Can anyone tell me about how long before the majority of the soreness goes away?
We went out walking today and I think I'm going well. I'll post before pictures later this weekend when I get home from my in-laws house.
Welcome back Sherra!!!! Glad to hear all went well for you and you're not in too much pain. I hope the gas pains begin to subside soon. They say walking is the best thing to do so keep it up!
Shana girl, I'm with you on Wednesday!!! Did you ever think this day would come? Well it's here!!! I'm so excited to begin my new life as a healthy, thinner person! I'll be thinking of you that day!
Cheers,
Lisa S.
Sherra, I was banded on Thursday and today (sunday) I am feeling so much better. I think that each day you will see an improvement overall. The gas pains are really a "pain" but I have been moving around and bought some Gas X strips that seem to be working. I was up 10 pounds when I came home from the hospital (a little discouraging) but now that some of the gas has been "relieved" i am down 8 pounds. It should be more by the time all the gas gets out of me.
Best of luck to you and glad to hear that you are up and moving...that is most important to get the gas outta ya....gotta love that gurgling sound eh?? Take care, Marcy
Lisa, I spoke too soon...I was actually feeling really good this morning and then this afternoon the pain is there....i guess it has never really left but i feel it more now. I am trying to get up and walk but it is hard cause I get so tired. This is all a part of it and each day will be better i hope....take care, Marcy
