Piece of cake...
Congrats on things going so smoothly! I hope mine does as well - only Pam? I'm HOPING for a couple of days in the hospital! Oh, I know they poke and prod and annoy you to death, then nag you to get some rest.... but with my 2 kids, an overly affectionate cat and a LARGE, very exhuberant puppy at home, I'm thinking I want as much healing time as I can GET in the hospital before I head home!
My biggest pre-op concern is the IV. I HATE IV's!!! When they give that poke of lidocain before inserting the IV, my veins collapse. So I'm thinking of 1) asking for the BEST anesthesiologist in the joint, and 2) biting down on something and just taking the IV without the numbing.
THIS TOO, SHALL PASS!!!
Hey Dave, Glad to hear all was a piece of cake.....My surgery too was a piece of cake. Glad we are both now on the losers bench and I wish everyone else who has their surgery in the near future the best of luck and you are all in my prayers. Just keep a positive attitude and all will be just fine...ok maybe a little bit uncomfortable in the beginning but the end results will all be worth it. Marcy
Welcome back!
It's nice to hear that something was a "piece of cake" without calories.
I have been on my slim fast diet for 2 weeks now and I think I am going to go crazy before Monday.
I am scheduled for my VSG on Monday the 23rd along with my sister who is having the RNY. I sure hope we do as well as you have. I can't beleive only 1 day in the hospital! WOW
Good luck on your journey and hope to be on the losing side soon.
