5 days till banding!!
whooo wooooo!
Before you know it your new beginning is here.
As a lap bander such as yourself I would suggest that you pick up some stool softners to start taking right after you get home. Trust me, you will thank me for that one!
It's also a good idea to make sure that you have all the food that you will need for the post op period. I picked up some baby food desserts (surprising very tasty)
also a good idea to have some protien drinks on hand.
Hope that helps
Good luck to you!
Monique

My advise is to stay positive!!! I was just banded this past Thursday and I think that my positive attitude going into this helped alot. I am looking forward to this new start of my life. I have never had surgery so needless to say I am kind of shocked at the pain....but the pain is only there when I get up or down from sitting or laying down. Make sure you have your popsicles on hand...they have been a nice added perk to my liquids and of course you can't forget the crystal light (love all the flavors). Every doctor is different. I am on liquids until day 11 and then I can start on protein drinks (check out bariatriceating.com..they have a great selection of products) and pureed foods...so make sure you follow what your doctor says. You will do just fine and don't hesitate to ask questions...Marcy
