I'm Home and Feeling Great!
Sorry, I forgot to post on this board that I came home on Friday and I feel wonderful!
It is hard to believe that I had major surgery just a few days ago. Surgeon said that everything went "perfect". However, in the recovery room, I had to give them a little excitement.....my blood sugar kept creeping upward and they were almost ready to send me to the ICU, but then it started back down and I ended up on the bariatric floor.
I'm not on any pain meds since I feel a little discomfort, but no pain really. I've been up and about everyday, even go on little car trips to the library, store, etc with the hubby.
The hardest part is getting in the calories. As the surgeon told me, "Sip, sip, sip all day long." It is what I am doing.
I wish everyone whose surgery is near a great journey also. It is fun being on the other side -- never thought it would really happen!

Congrats girl!!! I had surgery the day before you and I feel great, too! Isn't it wonderful? I'm so happy for you that things went so well. Now we can enjoy each and every day of new experiences, weight loss, and feeling better. I realize we may have an occasional problem but we can deal with them later if we have any. In the meantime, lets enjoy and be proud of what we have accomplished so far!!!! Yeah for us!

Winner Girl your post gives me comfort in knowing that things can go smoothly with little pain! That's what I'm hoping for! Glad to hear all went so well for you and you're up & around so quickly. Enjoy the new you that has begun to evolve! See you on the loser's side next week!
