Surgery scheduled

I'm schedule to have my Roux-en-Y bypass surgery on April 23rd. I've been working on this for 18 months. This is my first posting.

Congratulations Robert! Are you nervous about it? I am scheduled for April 25th and I'm nervous. I have waited so long for this and jumped through all the hoops and now that it's finally coming true---I can't shake the butterflies in my stomach!!! Pam T

I can understand the nervousness. I've had 6 surgeries in my life and was always nervous, at least until they give you those wonderful drugs that make you feel like you don't have a care in the world. My surgery is complicated due to Hepatitis-C and viral cirrhosis of the liver. It just feels good to get to this point in the whole process. Are you on a liquid diet or something else? Rob

Hi Robert, I too am having my surgery on April 23rd with Dr. Kennedy. I am up first. I met another lady who is scheduled on the 23rd also. Good Luck and looking forward to seeing you on the loosing side. Rozzy

Dr. Kennedy is doing 3 surgeries that day. I know that mine is the last one. Good Luck. Rob
