I'M ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a week I have had. Surgery was 8 hours longs , the worst case my surgeon has ever had to do in his entire career. He'll never forget me. After being released 48 hr later, which I thought was way too soon, I had to be readmitted 12 hours later. I developed shingles from being on the table so long, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism ( levels sky high so hopefully caught before it developed) and fluid overload. I was released last night and hopefully am on the road to recovery. I am down 14 pounds Yay! I want to thank all of you for your prayers and concern.

Welcome back, Sorry you have been through so much. I gave my doctor a run for his money too. My lap RNY had to be coverted to open because my stomach twisted. Once home I developed an infection and had to go back to hopsital a couple of days so they could re-open and drain infection. Glad to hear your home and on the road of recovery. Take care, Danielle

Wow Shar! That's losing 14 lbs the hard way. 8 hrs. in surgery, your doctor is going to bill you for overtime. Glad your back. It should go much smoother for you now. DD

Oh honey, I'm so sorry you had to go through the ringer like that! I'm glad you are finally back home and hopefully you won't run into anymore problems. It's gonna be all up hill from here on in! Way to go on the big weight loss! Cheers, Lisa
