Well, I just got done ordering a crap load of protein mixes, suppliments and other high protein drinks at bariatriceating.com. Anybody else buy stuff from there? I hope the stuff tastes as good as they claim... we'll see. Spent a ton of money but I want to be healthy and have these things on hand for after surgery. Only 14 more days till surgery! A list of some things I ordered.... 1.) Any Whey Tasteless Protein 2.) Whey Gourmet -artic cappuccino flappe 3.) Whey Gourmet - creamy dreamy milk chocolate 4.) Whey Gourmet - vanilla ice cream royale 5.) Nectar Latte Cappuccino 6.) A variety of Chewable Suppliments 7.) Before & After book 8.) Blender Bottle (it's a shaker for the protein mixes) Cheers, Lisa

Great ideas - I hear folks say you don't feel much for getting out much in the 2 weeks after surgery - so stock up we do! I just went to Bed Bath & Beyond and picked up some 1, 2, and 3oz containers for portioning meals etc. after surgery. I'm sure I'll get more information from my dietician tomorrow - they're starting me on a liquid diet to "defat" my liver before surgery. Having surgery the same day as you - good luck and God Bless.

They say our tastes are going to change after surgery, so I've held off on stocking up on supplies. Except for protein enhanced chicken soup. I don't plan on much of an appetite for a couple of weeks. Special K makes a protein enriched water. I may try some of those also. DD

A planner...that's what I like to hear!!!!! I'm the same way. I went on there and ordered the beginner pack with the book as well. I also went to vitalady.com and picked up a bunch of other samples as well. I haven't tried any of them yet since I've heard about tastes changing. I plan to have some of them this weekend for my pre-op liquid diet though. I also picked up some Unjury samples and am looking forward to trying them. Best of luck to you on your surgery and I'll see ya on the loser's bench!!! Michele

Lisa, was this the Bariatric Survival Kit that you bought?? or did you just pick and choose what you thought you would like?? Marcy

I took a risk and just picked out what sounded good to me. I know they say your taste changes somewhat after surgery but I can't believe it will change that much so I just went ahead and risked it. The Bariatric Survival Kit looked really good and I almost bought it, but then just decided to do my own thing instead! I also ordered my multi chewable vitamins and some other chewable vitamin suppliments. Figured if I needed them I'd have them on hand! I like to be prepared and have things ready in case I need them right away. I live out in a small rural town and shopping for these items is about 45 minutes away so I like to have the shelves stocked. Gonna go shopping tomorrow for other items that can be found at the grocery store like.... beef broth sugar free jello & pudding sugar free crystal light creamed soups baby food (I really like some of the baby foods so I'm gonna stock up on some) Special K protein water and more.... I also still need to buy myself a robe to wear during my hospital stay. Once I finish shopping for all those items then I'm done and ready to go! Cheers, Lisa (just 13 more days till surgery!!!!)

Couple of things you might want to put on the list. Gas-X strips, not the pills. I guess gas pain is a universal affliction after WLS. Batteries for your remote control. (guy thing). Otherwise, I believe you'll be in good shape with the list you have. DD
