Soooo Excited!!!!
Hello everyone. I am so excited about my upcoming surgery. I am scheduled for 4/23/07. I am excited to begin my new life and to finally put away all of my FATTTTT clothes for ever :'(. I will keep you all updated on my recovery. Is anyone else struggling with the pre-op liquid "liver Shrinking" diet?
Congrats Tracey and welcome to the A-Team!!!! We are all gonna be April loosers soon, some of us have already begun the journey! My surgery is scheduled for the 25th just a couple days after yours. I'm looking forward to finally putting away all my fat clothes for good!!!!!!!!!!
My doc didn't say I had to do a pre-op liquid diet... but after reading some of the other posts on here I'm wondering if I should do a liquid diet just to be on the safe side. Good luck to you!!! See you on the loosers side soon!
Cheers,
Lisa
Lisa, I thought that I would not have to do the liquid diet... but then I went to my pre-op session and needless to say they want me to start this Thur. One week before my surgery. It will be tough since I wanted to get in a few last minute dinners with friends. I just have to realize that this is so much more important...i can always go out with them in say 3 months or so. Good luck!!!!
since I am relativelly new, there are no words of wisdome to bestow, OKAY .... I admit it..... I am soooo envious over you, but happy for you! Just for kicks and giggles, how long did it take from your first seminar to get to where you are right now? I certainlly dont feel as though time is on my side in any way shape, form or wrincle or crease! I mean look at all I have to look forward to... that yummy yummy in the tummy preop liquid that I hear so much about... its not a popular concept, this liquid. I have to go to a seminar on the 18th of may and am hoping for the surgery to occur over the summer because it would make me missarable to be that cold as it were in winter. Congtas on your loss and keep your head up!
Hi Sherri! Welcome to the boards! When I first began my journey to have GB surgery done someone who had already been through the process said to plan on 1 year from starting point to approval and if it happens sooner then you will be pleasantly surprised. That was the best advice given. It took me about 9 months total from the first seminar to receiving approval from my insurance company. I followed all the requirements and did the psyc evaluation, the 6 month diet monitored by my doctor and got all the necessary paperwork together. The paperwork was submitted once and 3 weeks later I got approval. Just 2 days later I had my surgery date set. Time has been flying since, and in just 14 days I will have my surgery! Good luck to you and just have patience and do all the necessary requirements your insurances asks for. You'll get there before you know it and soon you'll be on the loosers side with the rest of us!!!
Cheers,
Lisa
Hi Tracey,
I am scheduled for 4/23 also, and I sure know what you mean about getting rid of your fat clothes! I can't wait to be able to buy something because I like it or it's just too cute too resist rather than buying any old thing only because it fits! I don't have to do a liquid diet first, but would probably be better off if I had to. Doing a lot of "last" eating this week! Good luck as our day gets closer and closer...
