Hmmmmmmmmm this is going pretty god so far
Hello all you LOSERS *g* Today had all pre op tests done and I'm cleared for surgery on 4/16....gets better...I get home from the dr. and I get a message from the hospital to pre-register me...I think to myself..."this can't be". Just seems that everything has gone oh so well. I hope this continues to go this way. Ok...enough of me....Happy Easter and Happy Holday to you all out there. Stay well.....*smile* 
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, I had my rny done on March 26th, I hope all is well for you and your family. I think the hardest part is the first 2 weeks when you are testing different liquids and trying out different things you can eat. I am 11 days out and feel really really good now. I am up and around, going out now, and starting bak to work Monday. My thoughts are with you

I too had all my pre-op tests done today...I learned so much about what will be required after the surgery...much more that I knew before today that's for sure. I am scheduled for Lap Band on 4/19....I was a little upset because I thought that I would be able to celebrate my son's 10th birthday on the 14th but doesn't look like I will be able to do this on a "liquid diet" that i must start on the 12th. I have rescheduled the birthday celebration at Benihana for tomorrow....I also turn 43 on the 16th....so much for my big birthday dinner...we will just have to fit it all in before next Thursday the 12th. I can't understand all the hype about this liquid diet. I called and asked my surgeon if I need to do this...the good Dr. said not for the Lap Band....just a day or two before the surgery is required. What was funny to me was.....he said, make sure you brush your teeth REAL WELL at least three times a day and gargle with Listerine three times a day three days in a row before the surgery. DD DD, I don't know why. I can only assume they want your intestines clean before they cut. Is it possible they dont want anything to leak from them inside your body? Who the hell knows......I guess the Dr's.....
I have been pigging here....I had made a list of most favorites to get in before the surgery...so far I got all the favs in accept for a good porterhouse steak....some fried calamari and lobster...gonna have them this week though.....Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!!!
