Pre Admissions Clinic?
Maybe they do things differently here in Canada, but I just got a call from the hospital I will be having my surgery in and I have to go to the hospital on March 26/07 for the "pre admissions clinic".
When I asked the nurse what that all entailed, she told me it was a series of tests that needed to be completed prior to surgery - to make sure we are still good to go for April 10/07.
Now, I have already jumped through a series of hoops (which by the way wasn't easy) blood work, EKG, lung test, and barium x rays (which if you have ever tasted that stuff they make you drink ... )
Anyway - I wonder what kind of further tests I am going to be subjected to ... The nurse did tell me to eat breakfast so at least it's not a fasting thing. Thank god!
Anyway - anyone else have to do this Pre Admissions Clinic?

Well I had them but I don't have my gallbladder so no ultra sound of that....But I had mine Mon. I had blood work, x-ray, lung test, but mine was fasting.... It is easy.. they just want to make sure that you don't have any infections or anything that can cause more troubles......You will be fine... I promise...
