Hi Joan and everyone.  I too have been thinking about our April group and wondering how everyone is doing.  We are all about 2 1/2 years out now.  Time does fly.  I have done well but have gained about 5 pounds and am trying to put a stop to it.  I have a different job which has me traveling from one assisted living facility to another and stay over night 2 to 3 times per week.  When I am at the facilities I am expected to eat meals there but they are a lot of carbs and not nearly enough protein.  I am trying to cut out the carbs and increase my protein and drink more water too.  I had started to eat too many carbs before I took the new job and now the result is 5 pounds up and it is scary.
I had a TT and Eye lid surgery last April and plan a breast lift/reduction and more lipo next spring. I also turned 60 years old in September and while I don't like that number, it is better than being dead or in a wheel chair or worse as it would have surely been if I had not had this surgery.
Hang in there every one.  I plan to try to come back here more often as I miss our group of losers!!   Julia

Hello Kim,
I still have a problem with chicken and eggs.  Gag!  I agree with Sher thast protein helps.  Can you do cottage cheese?  I  still mix mine with SF jam just a T helps mixed with 1/2 C of cottage cheese.  Remember not to drink after eating as it washes it through.  Let the protein work.  I still love salads with shrimp on top.  Great protein and doesn't gag me like chicken.

Hope you feel better soon.  You all look great!

Hello! I woke up this morning thinking about surgery and then thought of this board and the friends here and decided to stop in today.  A little late for the most recent posts for sure but still glad to see how all are doing.

Glad to see the changes in our lives, both physical and emotional.

Wow, working new jobs seems to be a common thread and WLS changed lives.  And Sher...wow, breasts of a teenager and flat tummy, I could only pray I could have those done.

But with interview for a new job Monday working for medical specialist, maybe that could possibly happen for me.  Please pray If the Lord's will I get this job.  Getting back in the Medical field has been such a desire of mine and since the WLS I have more confidence in meeting new people (interview process) so I am hoping they say yes to me.

I am doing well. I was not please with the way I was looking, thin in the face and looking older and haggard so I purposely gaiined almost 10 pounds.  I am still in 4/6's so I know I was underweight for me since they still fit.  They were baggy before.  My skin looks better and I look healthier...I am healthier!

Great to see you guys and may we never forget how far we came.

It is His love and grace that saved and sustains me.
In Christ's love,
Joan M

Hello all, I am doing great. Had some PS in July and now have breasts of a teenager and a flat tummy to go with it. Having some healing issues, but doing well all in all. Keeping my weight off (yey!) even lost a few more pounds, 4.5lbs after ps and another pound recently. I am so happy my tool is working.

I'm seeing that not many people check these boards much now a days.  Hmm.  I'm flying to Texas in 5 days.  AAAAHHHH! I've still got so much to do around this house.

Yes, I wonder why people delete their before pictures off of their profiles. Because, I like to look at the results still.
