Topic: Non-stop!
Is it just me or is anyone else having a hard time with food these days. It seems like I am never fully content with what I have ate. I am hungry when I shouldn't be, I started stepn up on exercise because I am always putting in food. The scale is still within my 5 pound range but Lord knows food is still always on my mind! WHY! Keep telling myself nothing tastes as good as thin feels.....over and over again! Am I alone in this boat? What are others doing to aviod this or how do you deal with it, without giving into the urges? Thanks everyone and hope everyone has a safe and blessed Thanksgiving! Hugs, Jenni

Meghan..so glad you stopped in to talk with the old gang! Yes, we all struggle..I don't care who you are. This surgery wasn't on our brains so we need to take control when we feel ourselves slipping. Do not bash yourself..you are making the right choices now and I know I struggle with making the right choices too. Everyone does! I know that having my protein shake in the morning really helps and I even do one at night to help curb the munchies I seem to get in the evening now. And I keep a large insulated jug with water flavored with DaVinci SF syrup like caramel or Khalua and that really helps. Keep a food journal at fitday.com or whatever place you like online. I know some like sparkspeople I think that is what it is....but just do it one thing at a time. You did great losing the five pounds and getting out of the house and doing the ecercise will really help with the munchies. Buy the food that is good for you since you do not have to buy for non-WLS people. Spend money on good food for you. You can do this!! I will be praying for you Meghan and can't wait to hear the progress you are going to make. Love in Christ, Joan M

hey Becky...so glad you are home this year and I am still waiting to move to CO as our house is stilllllll on the market. Yes, plan ahead so you can eat what you like. I have recipe for pumpkin fluff you might like. Mix a small can of canned pumpkin with some pumpkin pie spice then add to SF FF cool whip and blend well and you can eat like pudding on put in pre-baked pie crust. yummo! Have a blessed holiday! Here's wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I am having Thanksgiving at my home this year. I have plans to make sugar free pumpkin pie without the crust for myself and whomever wants some, but also the traditional food and pies just altering some of the ingredients, decreasing sugar and fat. Hope your day is great, we should be able to enjoy a little by letting our tool help guide us in the right direction so we don't go too overboard and over eat. Enjoy Sher

Happy THanksgiving to you to Becky. Boy do I know about temptations......LOL. I am doing the BIG thanksgiving dinner at my house this year, tons of company, and TONS of food..... Again Happy Thanksgiving to you .
