It's been a while since I've been on OH. I had my lower body lift and brachioplasty on 1/9, spent two nights at the hospital and two nights at a residence hotel near the hospital and then a week recuperating at my mother's. I am doing pretty well, although I have a spot on my butt that the surgeon is a bit concerned about, it's not healing as well as the rest of me, but hopefully it will work itself through. Because of the spot, I am still on an antibiotic and have to apply cream, but other than that, I really feel pretty good. I am going back to work on Tues and will see how that goes. It's been nice being pampered by my mommy and not have to deal with the stress of work! Even tho I am still pretty swollen, I can see how much excess skin is gone and how my body will more or less look and I'm pretty happy with it all. It does feel a bit strange not having to pick up skin when I shower and it feels like my torso is smaller. It's obviously not, but my tummy hung down and it just seemed like was longer because of it. I hope everyone is doing well and we're all happy and healthy! Sue

Hi Rebecca, I am doing good---1.2 pounds from my goal. I have set it at 150 but then really want to go lower so we shall see. Hoping for the TT next summer. I was in a store today, looking at a skirt and another lady there, said isn't that cute. There is a 6 and an 8 over there. I said---oh I wish. Not there yet but if the tummy were gone, would be. Legs looked little to her I guess. I was happy with the comment!! Stay warm! Julia

Jen, I can eat more now too but depends on what it is. Meat, chicken etc. is more dense and I cannot eat as much of it as I can refied beans, cottage cheese, etc. AND some days I can eat more than I can other days. Keeps me on my toes. Julia

Topic: Eating....
Hi all! Just wanted to do a quick survey of how much you all are eating at one time. I am eating about 8oz at each "meal" and I have a couple of good for me snacks throughout the day. A meal would be some form of protien(meat or fish) and a couple of bites of veggies and MAYBE a bite of a starch. Just curious where everyone else is at. I'm not worried about weight, I have been at "goal" for over a year and have had my tummy tuck. I maintain the same weight within 5 lbs, I just want to see if I should actually be eating more. Thanks!!! Jen

I would guess, just back to the basic, protein protein protein thing. I know that for me, the more protein I consume, the more weight I lose and lots and lots of water. I am one of the lucky ones I guess, I am about 20 lbs below my own personal goal and 25 lbs below my surgeons goal for me but I still try to do the protein first thing, if I fill up on protein whether it be from meat/fish or protein drinks then it doesnt leave much room for the foods I really want to eat, like chips, candy etc. Good Luck

I also found myself getting ill when consumeing milk products, yuck. BUT I bought the unflavored protein powder from GNC and use it in crystal light or any cold beverage, the calories are low, the protein high and you wouldnt know it was in there. Hope that helps

I need help! I have about, now 25 pounds, lol, to lose to reach my goal. I got down to 165-168 and started working out and gained! Plus I moved and I seem to not be able to stick to my diet as well. I'm able to eat ALOT more food and because I'm used to eating so many meals a day, it's like I still eat 5-6 meals and it's not as small of a portion. Like I'm not getting full. My stomach is always growling. Can you give me some ideas on a good way to get back to the basics? The thing is, I am MAJORLY lactose intolerant to where I vomit if i eat anything dairy. So for protein, it's GOT to be meat. Can you help me out please?! I'm trying to build muscle to make me look a little better. My bottom looks horrible, lol! It's like I lost all the muscle in there. I've been trying the stair stepper but it looks like I may just HAVE to get plastic surgery! Any suggestions I would appreciate!!! Another thing I noticed, the b-12 shots used to boost my weightloss. I don't get them anymore, or haven't lately but I was losing just fine then got my last shot a few months ago and can't lose and gained since then! HELP me please!!!! Thanks! Sherry
