Topic: Where is Ethel? Whatcha eatin' Friday?
I hope Joan and Ethel are doing ok!! Lucy certainly missed her post yesterday. Lucy was bad yesterday. I did really good until I got home in the evening.... ugh!! Why are the evening times the hardest???? I had a small bag of fritos, 3 pieces of candy from a valentine, and then 1/2 c. rice crispies w/ff milk...carb city! This was all taken in between 8:30 and midnight! Though, I still managed to lose a pound over night.... certainly bumfuddles me! But I have been working out very hard this week....Sun, Tues, and Wed, each day burning 740-750 calories, so that is 2240-2250 calories burned thus far this week not including the calories burned for everyday moving and living, and I plan on working out today and tomorrow...that is the plan at least. At any rate, sorry for the rambling. The intention of the post wasn't to talk about me LOL
Have a good weekend!

Kathleen, I was wondering where everyone was too. Thought it was spring and everyone was out planting flowers or the nasty snow had knocked out electricity! Julia

I never even caught that. I just read it as "bloating". It is funny when you go back and read it as boating ;)

Topic: RE: Sugar Drop
Ruth Ann,
I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! The couple of times that has happened all I could do was sleep it off. I didn't test my sugar, but my symptoms were just as you have described. It is really a nasty sensation and for me...it does last several hours. I have learned not to eat any thing with more than 18 to 20 carbs...for the total meal or this does happen. Talk about negative conditioning!!!
Take Care!

Topic: RE: Wed Ethel wants to know what ya eatin
It is great to check in with all you April WLS people. Before we know it our one year anniversary will be here.
Today's intake
B- kelloggs protien water (had free coupon) it was lemontwist flavor and quite tasty with 5 grams protien
s- nectar tea protien in 16oz water 23g protien
L- 1 beef hotdog, 4 baked french fries, 1/4 c steamed brocolli, 1 tsp catsup, 1 tsp mustard
D 2 oz chicken breast over romaine lettuce with 6 grape tomatoes
s- carrot sticks and celery sticks with 1/2 cup FF plain yogurt with 2 tsp dry onion soup mix as dip.
fiber muffin
30 minutes on tredmill, then spent about 3 hours grooming my dog Bailey (soft coated wheaton terrier) a wonderful dog but requires a lot of grooming since his breed grows fur(hair) similar to ours and needs it cut every couple of months and it gets thick and matted if he doesn't get brushed enough. Up side, he doesn't shed.
A productive day and I still have energy unlike how I was just months ago. Thank god I was able to have WLS. ps went on the scale and lost 5 lbs in the past 12 days!

Hope you all are staying warm, right this minute it is 20* here in Colchester CT.
Topic: RE: Sugar Drop
definitely sound like dumping, or at least the way it was discribed to me. I have never experienced it. Talk to your Doc and see what he/she says.
Some protein bars are really high in carbs and I hear that can set some people off, I've also heard fried foods or sugar.
Take care Ruth Ann, it sounds like a bad experience to me.
