Thanks Joan - I know that sounds like a lot of food - and I too wouldn't be able to get 4 - 6 oz. of meat in - I really wasn't following the portions as much as I'm trying to follow ANY pre-written daily menu plan...the less I have to think about what to eat the better off I am...half the time, the reason why I end up eating something I shouldn't is because I failed to plan and end up just grabbing anything. I'm sure I'll probably modify the amounts of meat I eat down to 1 or 2 ounces.
Anyhow, thanks so much for your advise - i'll keep an eye out for the ethel posts.

Welcome back Tarra...my name is Joan and my surgery date April 25...I amdown from 290 to 157. I still cannot do as much food as this plateu diet calls for. I can barely get 2-3oz of any kind of meat in. And then 1/2 C of salad or vegie is a stetch. And then grapefruit? WOW, I would burst.
Some of us on here respond and are accountable forour food intake using the Ethel wants to know what ya eating post I try to post daily. You are welcome to join us here. I know I get ideas from a lot of people here.
You can do this Girlfriend and I will be praying for you.

Oh Rose I am so sorry to hear about you problems and the upcoming revision. I will be praying for you and for the Lord to even heal you before the surgery or if He knows the surgery is the answer then for your Doctor to have wisdom and the skill to do what is needed and for your recovery to be smoother than you can imagine. Hello gang! Busyyyyyyyy weekend here...but wanted to to try to enter Sat. food totals. It was hard to figure out because we ate out most of the day....so I am trying to adjust the counts to suit portion. When in doubt I upped the size.
Hope you have a blessed weekend....got up early today (Sunday) due to crazy dog scratching on baby gate....having protein shake and vitamins right now and will have Atkin's bar or yogurt later before we leave for church.

Topic: Just wanted to share a new recipe!
I made regular pancakes for my family and decided to try a recipe I had saved from another site. I made it a little different but it came out delicious.
cottage cheese pancakes
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
1 egg beaten
2 Tbls white flour
2 pks splenda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions.. beat egg, add cottage cheese and mix together well, add flour, splenda and cinnamon.
In heated skillet coat with nonstick spray and pour about 1/4 cup mixture at a time to make each pancake coo****il it is set and you can turn it over(very carfefully) I had some trouble with that but after turning continue to cook till each side is lightly browned. Serve with SF pancake syrup or SF jam. YUMMMM
Enjoy...... Sher
