Topic: RE: DOC's GOAL
Julia,
My goal weight is 150! Not sure why but 150 sounds good to me....At my 6 month my doc said no lower than 144- that still makes me laugh I will never see 144! I doubt I will ever see 150, but it is a goal for me to work for. I think I would be happy where I am right now- if I could lose some of the skin also. I don't care for the spare tire look over my jeans!
Thanks!

Congratulations to you Jennie!
I didn't get a goal weight from my doctor . I was only told that I was losing right on target at each visit. I am only 5'3". I wish I was taller but can't do anything about that. I would like to get to 140 or 150. But I will wait to see when I am closer to that mark. I figure I have a fair amount of excess skin that weighs at least 10 lbs. If someday I could get rid of that it would serve a dual purpose, instant weight loss and a more normal contoured body.
Hope you have a great week, too.

I never got a goal weight from my Doc. I set one for myself at 150, which is about right. I'm 5'5'. I'm wearing mostly 14's, some large tops and some medium. I bought two size 12 pull on pants. The 14's are tailored and a little tight around the waist but good on the hips. I think some of the problem with the waist is the hernia.

Jenni, I am 5'4", use to be 5'6", but have shrunk,
I believe my doctor goal weight for me is 170, but I want to get to 145, that will make my bmi at normal. I am wearing size 16 pants and Large or 12/14 shirts.
I have come down from a 30 pants (jeans) to a 16, that is progress man
I worn a 3xl shirt now a 12/14. WOOHOO.
I had an awesome weekend. Lost 3.5 pounds, FINALLY. Was stuck for so long. I also walk for 2 MILES today instead of the 1 mile last week. I am so good
and Hugs everyone

Congratulations on reaching your M.D.'s goal. Is that YOUR goal as well? My surgeon never said anything about a goal but my goal is 140. I wish I were 5'8" but am just a short 5'4", so have to work with that! Julia

I made my doctor's goal weight this morning!
So this morning I was 164!!!
That puts my BMI at NORMAL---whatever that means!
I am 5'8, fit into size 10's pants and large shirts.....
How tall is everyone else around here we always say what we weigh but never our height????
Hope everyone has an awesome Monday and an even better week!
Topic: RE: Questions about Plastic Surgery...
I have BC/BS of Mi and they require 6 months at Dr's goal weight. The PS Doc told me when I have been at that weight for 6 month then some see him. Make sure I have any rashes, discomforts, back aches, etc well documented from my PCP.
So... I hit my doc's goal weight this morning so 6 months from now!

Hi Joan,
Thanks for your input...I didn't pay much attention to anything but the calories and protein so after your comments I took another look at my sparkpeople entries to see where the carbs came from.
After looking at my sparkpeople entries, the carbs are as follows:
silver dollar pancake - 14!!! (this was not part of the plan - so that amt could easily be taken off)
Healthy Choice Ice Cream Bar - 13!!! (which was not good - so I probably won't be eating this again)
2 oz. unsalted cashews - 16!!!
Yoplait Lite Yogurt - 19!!!
1/2 grapefruit - 9 (3 x per day = 27!!)
1/2 c broccoli - 6
On the plan there was a comment that said "Created by a WLS Surgeon"...but just because it's written doesn't make it so...
For some reason, I have in sparkpeople as my carb goal - 135 - 252. I can't remember if I input that there or if the system did that automatically - do you know what my carb count should be for a day?
