Topic: RE: Plastic surgery consult
Hello
I have already been to my family doctor in January to start documenting my rashes and belly skin. I had her order me some anti fungal cream and I am keeping records of everything.
I go back to her in May for my Pap. And I will bring pictures of the skin and rashes. I am documenting everything.
In May we have the plastic surgeon speaking at our support group (for the second time). I really like him. I will make an appointment with him in May or June to start the insurance ball rolling.
I will get letters from my family doctor, surgeon and plastic surgeon...and have all my doctor visits, pictures and RXs documented for the insurance.
So as you see, I am being pro active for surgery I hope to have in December 2007. (only time my job is slow enough to allow me this much time off).
OH, I am only getting a Tummy tuck for now (no muscel tightening) just skin cut off. Then, I will look into my legs for next year. Thighs are really bad too!

Julia,
That's wonderful. Sometimes we don't even think about how many things have changed since WLS. So many little things that we take for granted. Thanks for sharing.

If it works...do it...just remember to get the protein in first! Good job Jenni! Two pounds in a week at this stage is nothing to sneeze about!
Love ya,

So the 600 cals is only to break the stall correct? Not what we should be eating at this stage. Because each Dr. and each nutritionist is different that is why we need to always confirm with our specialists...we can glean from each other but in the long run we need to be accountable to our team of specialists. And what works for us individually.
You can do this! I know for me personally I have asked the Lord to help me to do this and He does.
BTW I am now on the before and after pics of OH.
Love ya,

Topic: RE: 6 day plateau buster diet
Kathleen, I am really happy to belong to this group too. I hope we all keep it up no matter how far we are out from surgery, as it does help keep us accountable and the support is awesome. I am glad the plateau buster worked too. I did gain 1/2 pound this a.m. but am working harder to keep the carbs down and exercise more. Julia

I eat way more than you guys do-
8 am 1 south beach protein bar 230 cal
10 am 1 sf cookie approx 40 cal
12:00 am ½ South Beach wrap (caesar)- 125 cal
2:00 pm SF candies 140 cal
2:30/3:00 pm Hot Cocoa and protein powder- 160 cal
4:00 pm Cup of Chili with cheese- 280 cal
7:00 pmWhole Wheat Spaghetti and Sauce-350 cal
9:00 pm 100-calorie pack of pure CARBS (cookies)- 100 cal
Drank about 70 oz of water
No exercise...
That is like almost 1500 calories...I can't eat a lot at a time, i.e. south beach wraps I can only eat one wrap. But I eat many times a day- I had cut down what I was eating and I stalled out for a few weeks. I started eating again and am losing? That scares me but the scale is still moving downward- I lost 2 more pounds last week? And I am one of those sassy scale watchers; I get on the scale every morning. I guess I shouldn't be worried but when I see that some are being told to eat only 600 calories.....I so don't want to be part of that 5%!

LOL!! Good for you!
I emailed my nutritionist because I had been at a stall for 3 weeks now. I told her that I try to keep my calories below 800 and explained the type of workout I'm doing...she said that I needed to lower my calorie intake to 600 calories even though I have a pretty rigorous workout. I wanted to cry......still want to cry... I barely feel like I can function on 800 much less 600. Ugh. But, I will do anything to get over this stall.
