Topic: RE: The saga of my PS consult
Hope it helped, Floyd.
Do you know of any PS offices near you?
I researched online and spoke to a lot of people and even tho I am very happy with the consultation and the dr, I am still keeping my options open.

Thanks Jenni,
I am going to weigh myself once every two weeks. At my support group, they've discussed that the weight fluctuates too much on a daily or even weekly basis, so I think I can handle every two weeks!
The lady who handles the insurance the PS office called me today and went over a few things so I will post that later.
Take care,
Sue

Sue,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've been maintaining my weight for a couple months now. My wife told me the other day that all I have left is skin, so I'm starting to think seriously about having PS. Appreciate you sharing.

Topic: RE: Wed Ethel wants to know
Had a really bad eating day. I took the day off from work because of doc appointment, car needed service, and I desperately needed a hair cut/color...so I spent most of the day waiting and sitting on my butt.
B - AchievOne
S- sitting in the dealership waiting room looking at a vending machine.. it was calling my name - small bag of pretzels (could have been the honeybun I was really really wanting lol)
L - nothing I was sitting in the salon
D - 1/3 nachos bell grande (mostly the beef, beans, and cheese)
S - reduced fat wheat thins with laughing cow cheese wedge (love the french onion)
Lots of carbs... today (thursday) will be better!

LOL Joan.... your comments make me smile! I don't think I look that much different though..but I suppose everyone feels that way!

Jenni G. I am also, having trouble with the carbs, so I tried not to buy any. I am like you and I pick up the 100 calorie stuff, but shouldnt even have that around. Maybe if I pick up more fruit, and when I start craving something grab a fruit, maybe that will help.
I have increased my exercise so I have found that I crave more carbs since. I even eat more calories than I did before. I dont want to be fat again. I am my all means not skinny yet, but I am not as fat as I was. I am like you I DO NOT WANT TO GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK.
I will not gain it back.
We need each other support alot now. I am glad that I have such good support.
Thanks everyone, We WILL GET THOUGH THIS TOGETHER!!!

I heard that by consuming bad carbs it will increase your desire for carbs even more. So we should avoid them .... period. I have had a few carb cravings myself. I usually won't buy them or have them in the house. If my husband wants them I have him hide them from me so I am not tempted to eat them. It will be a lifelong struggle for many of us. Good luck.
