I had my surgery on the 24th. I've lost exactly 100 pounds and am thrilled. I'd like to lose 5-10 more, but .. i am happy. I wear a size 10-12 and a medium or large top. I am off all medicines, except of course vitamins.
My husband loves to feel my hip bones and my ribs.. and keeps giving me the squeeze test. He says I pass!

Lizzie, Glad to hear your son is doing better, but sorry to hear about your phlebitis. I have not had surgery for any vein problem so I can't offer you any info. I hope that things heal soon.
Keep that leg up, prayers are on the way for you to heal quickly.

They will schedule MRI and then send me to ortho....bad day today....leg gave out couple of times ad the pain was so bad I screamed and scared my daughter to death...it feels like I have a fracture in my leg....but I am still working (crossing guard) and hoping meds help some.
Thanks for the prayers and BTW for the card too...

I'll say some prayers for you too Joan. What are they going to do about your knee? Are they going to surgically fix it?

My surgery was April 25 and I have lost 137 lbs. I keep flustuating between 153 and 155LBs and yikes that scares me. I am wearing size 8/10 mostly but they are baggy in bottom and legs but the waist fits. I wear some 4/6's but I am only barely 5'1". I would love to be at a normal BMI which is 132 but I doubt that will happen w/o skin removal.
Glad you are doing so well. Great loss and it wonderful about the breast reduction. If my breasts reduce anymore there will be nothing there.
I feel wonderful too and am so happy I did this and now have a life again instead of being a bystander watching my life go by. I do the Ethel wants to know...where we share what we eat daily, if you want to join in with us.
In Christ,
Joan M

Lizzie I am so sorry about your problems. Please be careful with that leg...I know nothing of phlebitis but I have a torn miniscus (sp?) in my right knee and understand the frustration of having to rest. Hope you are healled soon. I will be praying for you and your son.
In Him,
Joan M
