Congratulations Lizzie! Awesome job! What more is there to say?

Topic: RE: Yahoo Group
I'm member of several yahoo groups in regards to WLS now - ones that are for local people within my town/province, etc. If you go ahead with this. Let me know cause I'd join.

What a wonderful thing you have done - a great accomplishment for YOU and a great fundraiser for MS. Wow - you never know what you can do now until you try. Great job.

Topic: Yahoo Group
Anyone interested in starting a yahoo group for our surgery month? We would use it in conjuction with this message board, I'm by no means suggesting we abandon it. The things I like about yahoo groups is that we could set up reminders that get emailed to us. Things like take your vitamins, drink your protein drink, have you exercised today... stuff like that.
Anyone interested in something like this?

Whoohoo! Way to go!
Go Sue, Go Sue, Go Sue! Shake your groove thing! Go Sue
You did great! How nice that your son walked with you. I have teenage boys too so I understand what you mean about getting them to say anything. I'm sure he's very proud of you.

One down and two to go!!!
My son and I did the MS walkathon yesterday. We chose the 6 mile route (we had the choice of 3, 6 or 10) and we had beautiful weather. We went from the South Street Seaport over the Brooklyn bridge, around Brooklyn and then back over the bridge and back to the seaport. The walk was lovely, the weather sunny, but not too hot and my company was great. The worst part of the trip was the train coming back (NY trains always seem to detour on the weekend due to constant track work). We were wearing t-shirts, shorts, baseball caps and I had a fanny packs, so we felt very touristy!! Other than a bit of sunburn on the neck and arms, we faired very well. And I raised 500 dollars toward MS.
Next week we are doing the march of dimes walkathon and then we will do the Aids walkathon in May.
On the way home, I asked my son if he was impressed with me since I could never have done this last year at this time. After much hemming and hawing becuase teenagers find it difficult to say anything nice about their parents, he grudgingly admitted that while he was proud of me, the charity to me was secondary becuase I was walking for myself first. I think he did sort of, kind of, admit he was proud of me even though I had to fish for it!!
I did tell him that I was proud of him and honored that he volunteered to come with me. I took a disposable camera so when I get the pictures developed, I will upload them.
Hope everyone had a great weekend,
Sue

Good luck, Joan, my surgery twin!
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and perhaps when you are settled again, we will hear from you and Ethel again more frequently.
I agree about the caring and sharing of this board. I belong to my state board and post there sporadically, but I don't feel the same way that I do about this board. We've all walked the walk together and I appreciate everyone on this board.
May God guide you and your family and keep you safe and sane on your journey toward and to your daughter.
Sue

Darla, if I were you, I would never take that dress off! You look AMAZING!!! Before my daughter's hip surgery she wore a size 8 (she's now a 2) and she had a beautiful skirt that I have been hanging on to. Last night I put it on to see how close I was... it barely fit, but I did get the zipper up! I was in total shock thinking how close I was to actually being able to wear it. She's coming in next week and I am going to give her the shock of her life... Keep up the great work, Lisa
