CONGRADULATIONS!!!
Over 200 lbs in 1 year? Amazing! You look great. Bet you feel like a completly different person. Keep up the great work.

Topic: RE: ANYONE START AT AROUND 310 LBS
I'm 5' 9'' and was 325 lbs at WLS back on 4/12/06. A year after I'm at 190lbs, so that's 135 lbs lost. But as others have replied, we all hae different body types, so results may vary. LOL

Yeah Rebecca! We can all relate to how you are feeling today. It's a good time to reflect and to celebrate. Hope you are planning on doing some of both, Lisa
Topic: RE: Changing Health Ins After WLS
Mine changed in January to a policy that is not as WLS friendly, so I was so happy to have had mine already! But the new insurance does have my surgeon on his plan and I have not had any problems with my follow up visits. Good luck!

Congratulations to both you and Joan. You are both such an inspiration to the April 06 board. Keep up the good work and continued success in your WLS journey! God bless, Lisa

Yes, Girlfriend we are certainly in a better place this year than last year a nd I am so grateful to the Lord for it. We all on this board have news lives and we willl continue to use this tool we have and do well. Everyday is a choice in how we respond to food to use it to live or live to eat.
Thanks for sharing this adventure with me.

Topic: Today's my anniversary!!
I can't believe that at this time last year, I was being prepped for surgery and it's already a year later.
Today is my (and Joan M's anniversary) and what a difference a year makes.
From the big changes, eliminating all meds from my menu, completing a 6 mile marathon, and feeling "normal", to the little changes, like being able to cross my legs, or realizing that even though I am not short, my legs are and I have to wear petite or short sized pants. My wardrobe has gotten smaller and bigger. I can fit more pairs of pants into the same space a couple of pairs of sweatpants fit before.
One of the people I work with mentioned to me a few days ago that he thinks I am more bubbly than I was before. I do feel a weight has been lifted (no pun intended) and I feel freer and more mobile physically and spiritually.
I still have my moments where I crave things or I beat myself up over taking something I think I shouldn't, but I try to be less of a harsh judge on myself and keep on keeping on.
I appreciate this board so much -- I've learned from everyone and I think you are all special and wonderful people who have shared your journeys along with mine. I thank you all for your posts and your kind words to me this year.
Good luck to us all on beginning our second year of this wondrous gift.
Have a wonderful day!
Sue
