Dreaming of Food

OMG its 5:30 and I'm up. I had the weirdest dream this morning - I was eating a nice piece of chocolate cake having a diet coke. The minute I took a drink of the diet coke in my dream I woke up thinking what have you done - you can't drink coke anymore and my tummy was literally hurting. I had to stop and wonder for a few minutes did I get up in my sleep and go downstairs and eat something I shouldn't have. It was scary. I'm pretty sure I didn't sleep walk cause I was really thirsty and had to get up for something to drink - but I have heard of people that do get up in their sleep and eat. I thought you must be crazy - but hear I am now dreaming of food but at least my concious mind is cutting in part way through going heck you can't do that - your're goig to be sick. Anyone else having weird food dreams? Carolyn

I dream of food EVERY night now. Kind of depressing...I used to have such fun dreams, now it's nothing but burgers, burritos and carmel sundaes. Seriously, I cant get through a night without dreaming of something delicious and fattening. From what I understand, though, it's perfectly normal so I try not to think about it too much. Hey, good for your conscious mind for butting in! Mine just ignores the whole thing and lets me eat as much as I want...then I wake up feeling deprived. Lisa L. 380/344/170

This is funny because that is what I dreamt about last night- my sister and I were driving and we stopped at every single fast food place to find things we hadn't tried before! IHOP is the place I wanted to stay at!!!! I used to also dream about fun stuff, relaxing and having fun now its centered around FOOD! Argghhhhh Just goes to show you how much of our food problems are in our head!

This is so weird... for the last three nights I've been dreaming of food, but I don't remember if I ever really eat it. Goes to show you how much our lives revolved around food. I think our brains just have been so used to us putting that stuff into our mouths that it has to disconnect some how when we stop... I hope the dreams stop soon but then again it will be a way for me to enjoy low calorie fast food if I'm only dreaming it. Darla
