Is anyone else itchy around their incisions? Wish I knew what I could put on them to stop the itching... Ruth Ann

That means that they are healing! So that is a good thing!

My surgery info states that you can use vitamin e or petrolum jelly around the itchy parts. Hope this helps Erica

I was going to mention that is usually a sign of healing so be happy for the itch. I know it is VERY irritating though...if it keeps bugging you, call your doctor and ask what they suggest.

Yep. Especially the major one babove my belly buttonMy mom's doc told her to put bacitran antiobiotic ointment on her stitches (she had foot surgery 3 weeks ago), so I tried it on the worst one, it did help. Also I put a gauze pad over it for a while yesterday when the itching was worst, just to keep the fingers off. Today I tried bacitran spray, that also helped a little. Heidi L-S
