Pain Meds

So, I couldnt take my pain meds earlier because I was full from my protein dinner. Yay. Finally extra protein in my food. Non-flavored. We'll see if my energy level goes up. Back to the meds tho. I fell asleep and now here I sit almost 8 hours later in pain. Has anyone else done this or am I just the wimp in the bunch and whinning? LOL

I know what you mean...I went back to work 2 1/2 weeks after surgery (too soon) and I would end up taking my pain meds after work. It would wipe me out for about 4 hours - just enough time to eat a little something and go back to bed. I actually went to the doctor who informed me that the pain I felt (right side in the abdomin) was nerves reconnecting and the pain could last up to 6 month. Thankfully, they went away a week later. If the pain continues or there is drainage/bleeding from any of your sites, please go see the doctor...it may be more than just nerves reconnecting. Hang in there! Jean
